Here you will find some of the best wood core quality grade for board sports. More or less you can select any wood core for any type of a ride, however some are better then other for your specific application whether it is ski, snowbaord, kite/wakeboard or a long/skateboard.
We have Paulownia wood core, which is totally natural and renewable. It gives some of the best weight to strength and performance properties.
We have Bamboo which is also totally natural and renewable. It is dense and strong it gives natural spring like properties.
We have replaced the Maple with local european Baltic Birch, which is a great, tough and durable product.
We have Poplar and Birch cores, which are also European woods, easily renewable and give great weight vs. performance properties for majority of products.

Ash Ski wood core
Fantastic looks and performance from Ash wood cores made of european Ash wood, with single pieces wood from top to bottom. Ash is great wood for skis and a benefit also is that it is resistant to water, so you can make your skis without using any additional sidewalls.

This is a kiteboards and wakeboards paulownia wood core vertically laminated.
Paulownia is the best woodcore for kiteboards or wakeboards. It offers high durability and very light weight. It is superior to Balsa in every way, also how well it works with epoxy.

WARNING: These board are light and fragile if shipped only 1pcs. Due to the fragile nature of these boards during shipping (we protect them well in double cardboard and Fragile marks), we recommend that minimum 2pcs are bought! If you buy 1pcs, you thereby accept responsibility for any transport damage. Boards are always fixable by glue or epoxy. Once the core is covered with composite it will be good as new.

Bcomp no longer makes the wood cores. If possible to find again we will get them on stock . For now Paulownia is a suitable alternative.

This is the new ultra lite core from the Swiss bComp. Lighter than Paulownia about 15-20%.
bCore 200 – light balsa/flax mix wood core: 1900mm x 143mm x 14mm.

For simulation use: density of 235kg/m3, Y-modulus of 2200 N/mm.
The final core compared to Paulownia is usually some 10% thicker for same stiffness results. Please simulate.

For simulation use: 400kg/m3 densnity and 6800N/mm Y modulus.
